Babysitters

Ladson and I are really big fans of babysitters. I use to babysit almost every weekend when I was younger. I loved it. There were times when I would babysit all day. Why am I telling you this?
Ladson and I have a difference of opinion on this topic. What is the topic you might say?
Cleaning up.
When the babysitter comes to our house everything is mostly put away and cleaned. When we get home, it looks like a tornado has come through the Mills house. Every toy out of the toy chest and dishes still on the table. I am not saying babysitter need to scrub my floors but why not pick some toys up? It doesn't have to be neat and perfect. Am I making a big deal about this? Please let me know what you think!
(Not all of my babysitters are guilty of this)

I agree with you, it'd be nice if they'd pick up the toys, or have the girls help pick up toys before bedtime or whatever. And I don't expect the dishwasher to be loaded, but dishes rinsed in the sink, table/high chair wiped down, etc.

I think it's appropriate for the babysitter to pick up the mess that they had made while they were there. Maybe you mention to the babysitter that you would like the girls to put their toys away before they started playing with something else. This way it doesn't sound like you're really asking the babysitter to do the picking up (but let's be honest, she would be the one to pick up). This way at least she would know that you have the expecatation that the house doesn't look like a tornado hit it.
