Mary Reilly walks!!!!

Ok so it's not full on walking but I count three or four steps as walking. She started this morning.

I am going to be an Aunt!!!

I am so excited! It was a total surprise but a very good surprise. I am so glad because our baby's are going to be about a month apart.

I am so happy for both of you. I can't wait to meet this little person!

Mary Reilly's First Christmas/10 months old today

More eating the paper than opening it. Mary Reilly had a good first Christmas.

A work in progress

My brother is doing a portrait of Mary Reilly for Christmas. Needless to say these aren't finished. Trying to get a (almost) 10 month baby to stay still if work in itself. He finally had to take some pictures of her to work off of. When these are finished I will post the finished product.

Names!!

I haven't really talked about my pregnancy. I don't know why. I am almost 3 months along and I guess I really don't feel pregnant. (minus the getting sick all the time) Ladson and I were talking and picked some names. If it is going to be a girl (heehee) we are naming her Catherine (calling her Catie) Abigale Mills and of course if it is a boy Ladson Frazier Mills IV. Poor boy. Catherine is my great grandmothers name and Ladson just liked Abigale. I had an ultrasound done a few weeks ago but my dad's scanner is broken. I will post them later.

Of course these are subject to change and probably will.

Lawn mower rides

My dad took Mary Reilly on her first lawn mower ride. She liked it and didn't cry. It does look like she was scared. I just don't think she knows what to think of it.

Ladson

Ladson told me where these were taken but I forgot. Sorry. Just know they are somewhere in Iraq or that general area. I rarely get pictures of him over there so I like to post them when he sends them (hint hint Ladson). Six more months to go then he is back home. (For now) Have I ever mentioned I (and every other Army wife) HATE 15 month deployments.

On that subject: Air force only does 4 to 6 months

Navy does 6 months

Marines does 6 months

We are the only branch that does 15 months... Not fair!!!

First Time meeting Santa!

We went to the Miler Country Club Christmas party tonight. My dad plays Santa every year so they asked him. I thought she would cry but she really liked him. (I kinda think she knew it was her popsie) Can you guess which one I will be using on my Christmas cards this year?

Slacker I am

I am sorry for all who read this. I am such a slacker! It's been a long time since I have updated but I promise I will tomorrow. Mary Reilly will be going to see Santa tomorrow night so I will have plenty of pictures to show.

Mary Reilly in jail!

This is how I found Mary Reilly this morning after her nap. It's like she was in jail and loving it! She wakes up so happy!

We love playing with books!

Mary Reilly has her first cold. Poor baby. It's not bad just a running nose. I feel so bad because there isn't anything you can give them.

Ladson sent me a Christmas gift in the mail. This is how I got it. I don't think there is anything breakable. I just thought the postal service would care alittle.

The tree lighting

On Tuesday Mary Reilly, mom and I went to the Summerville Tree lighting. It was really cold so I had Mary Reilly all bundled up. You couldn't even see her cute Christmas outfit.

Brooke and Howard's engagement party

Last night I went to Brooke and Howard's engagement party. It was alot of fun. They played the "dating game." Brooke and Howard have been dating for more than 10 years! They couldn't remember when their first date was or kiss. Finally they are getting married.

Finally, Mary Reilly holds her own bottle! I think it took her longer than most and after some kicking and screaming she finally can.

I voted today. Hate to admit but it was my first time :)

A very special surprise

As much to our surprise we are having another baby! I found out Friday and told Ladson right after the doctors. The nurse at the doctors came in and asked if I wanted to be pregnant. What kind of question is that? She did give me a hug and told me congrats. We kinda were waiting until he got back for good but I guess God had other plans for us. I have been feeling very dizzy mostly just when I stand up real quick. I am also kinda sick through out the day. I haven't really gotten sick yet. Last pregnancy I only got sick a few times. When Ladson gets back I will be 7 or 8 months pregnant. It's almost like the state I was in when he left. It was kind of a blessing it worked out this way because he will probably be home the longest and wont have to leave for like 2 years (maybe..you know the army). This way Ladson can see this child grow up and not miss things. I have been thinking about summer and swimming and all sorts of things. I am a bridesmaid in my friends wedding in April. My dress is really big right now but we will see how it fits in April. Also, I just hope it will be ok caring for Mary Reilly when I am so pregnant. My brother and I are 15 months apart so I know it can be done but I think it might be a little harder by myself. Mary Reilly is so good right now I am sure she will stay that way..I hope. I was waiting on telling everyone on Thanksgiving but I can't keep a secret.

Happy Halloween

If you can't tell Mart Reilly was a flower. We didn't treat or treat but we did pass out candy to the 6 people that came to our house. I tried to get a picture of her standing but that didn't happen. We did show off our costume at Walgreen's. I wasn't going to hand out candy but at the last minute I did.

I have been slack on the updates. Truthfully, we haven't done anything to take pictures of. I got yelled at from Ladson that I need to post so I finally did. Sorry all who have been waiting. We are going treat or treating tomorrow (just around to our friends) so we will have more pictures tomorrow.

8 months!

Mary Reilly turns 8 months today! Wow time goes by so fast. I love you my sweet baby girlie.

Cloth Diaper update

It was a successful night. No leakage at all. The cloth diapers come with two inserts. One for newborns and one for "normal" size babies. I didn't want to take any chances so I doubled up for night time. It did have a stinky in it but was very easy to clean. I only have two dirty diapers but I really want to clean them. I will probably wait until tonight to do my first wash. Mary Reilly seems to like them. No pulling on them or having problems crawling...darn I thought it might slow her down a little :( I do have disposable diapers left. I will save them when I travel on planes and long car rides. I think that might work out. If you think you might not like this idea, just try them.

**I went to Target yesterday and the have them there!!** They are the same price minus shipping.

Not so wordless Wednesday

My brother Steve painted these. Believe me when I say these are the only PG ones I can show. I guess I needed his permission but I don't think he is going to sue his sister and plus it's free advertisement. He is in graduate school (lifetime student) and going to teach when he graduates in May. I just thought I would share what he has been doing. I do think the little baby tied up is a little disturbing.

A new version of hide and seek

Cloth Diapers!?!

I can't believe I made the switch but I did! Mary Reilly will (in 2 days) be using cloth diapers. Mary Reilly gets diaper rash so bad so I thought these would help her. Plus I don't have to buy diapers again if they work. My friend Amanda told me about these. I just hope it will work. Her baby is going to be 4 months this week and loves them. I got the white ones. I know it's boring but I do love using my diaper covers. I just hope they will still fit over these. I bought 6 diapers. I will start with these then buy more if I need them. I will update when I get these.

I am trying to do the coupon game. I am not as good as most people but I feel that if it saves me a little then I will use them.

Pumpkin Patch Time

Mary Reilly stands! I caught her this morning like this. What next walking?
Yesterday morning I found that I had another dog in my yard. I didn't know who she belonged to and she had a hurt paw. She was shaking so bad and biting Cooper. I had to call the animal control. I love all dogs but not pit bulls. They are unreproducible and I can't take any chances around Mary Reilly. She didn't even have a collar on. I felt bad that I called but what else could I do. Keeping her is NOT an option!
Pumpkin Patch time!

We went to the pumpkin patch this morning and Mary Reilly pick one. (Not the one in the picture) She had fun but didn't know why she had to sit on hay.

R & R Pics

Not just crawling but pulling up!! Oh what fun! Our coffee table has to go.
We spent a few days at my parents mountain house. It was cold and I didn't pack winter stuff! It's in Saluda NC. We loved it so much we are trying to buy some property up there...

Go Wofford! We went to Wofford homecoming and they actually won! It was a good game but we can't believe tickets went up to $20! I would understand a Clemson or USC game but come on people this is Wofford.
We ran into Catie and her husband at the terrier ball. She was Ladson's good friend and in our wedding. Sorry about the picture the setting on my camera was wrong.

Finally, we went to visit Ladson's parents in St. Simons Island, GA. It was great to be at the beach for a few days.
