Sick child one day happy child the next

Thursday night we had another seizure. This makes a total of 4. This time I called 911. When we arrived at the ER Mary Reilly's temp was 104.8! She was one hot tamale! We did all kinds of test and her white blood count was high indicating an infection. Her ear is still infected.
Earlier that day we were at the doctors and the doctor said it was all cleared up...The explanation I received from the doctor was it could be fine one minute and 3 hours later be infected. I don't know if I really believe that. We will be looking for a new doctor at Johns Hopkins when she is fully healed.

We will be getting a MRI and a EEG at John Hopkins hopefully soon. When I called after the third seizure they didn't have anything until July! My doctor called for me and requested to be sooner.

No fever in 2 days! What a difference!

Sick Mary Reilly

I need to find a way to move these pictures in the order I wanted...oh well....I took a picture of her rash because I know when I take her to the doctor's she wont have it.
Mary Reilly came in from playing in the yard yesterday when I noticed she was feeling hotter than normal. I took her temp and it was 101.3...Not so bad you would say, but Mary Reilly gets febrile seizures. Her body doesn't take fevers well. After I took her temp I gave her Tylenol and she started shaking. -The last time I took Mary Reilly to the ER (the day Anna Grace came home from the hospital) the doctor at MUSC told me I didn't need to take her every time she had one. She only needed to go if it lasted more than 30 minutes. 30 minutes is a LONG TIME! 15 minutes is a LONG TIME! That's how long MR's usually last.

What made me kinda mad was this morning I called our clinic and told them what was going on and they told me she should have gone to the ER! What??!!? Am I a bad mom for not taking her to the ER? I try to do what the doctors tell me then I move to go a different health clinic and they tell me something different. Who is right? Why didn't they tell Ladson that on the phone when he called the emergency line yesterday? All I can conclude from this is whenever I do will be wrong to a different doctor. I just can't win!

I am taking her back to the doctor this morning. The rash is most likely a reaction to the antibiotic. (Remember she is allergic to penicillin) Who knows. I will report back when I know.

More pictures :)

During the picture taking process we had a small tumble. Right on the head.

We love this spring like weather!

Easter Eggs

If I was a good blogger I would have cleaned my kitchen before I took pictures. What can you do?
I spent most of Mary Reilly's nap time taking the yoke out of the eggs. (Not an easy task) You may ask why I just didn't hard boil the eggs? Well I wanted to keep them. They didn't turn out so great but Mary Reilly really enjoyed it and that's all that matters. :)

Time out

It's a name we have been saying way too often around this house. When Mary Reilly goes into time out she has to sit on the floor. It's away from the TV. She really doesn't like it so she takes the rug and pulls it over her head. (I think it's kinda funny so I took a picture)

Shoes!

Spring and Easter is almost around the corner. I saw these and I think the girls might have to have these! They are cute and simple

Knock off Wood

I found this blog today. It's really neat if you know how to make things.
