We moved!
Sorry for my absence. The past month we moved back to SC. We have had to do some things to the house. Besides unpacking we (I) have painted, pulled the growth of vines off the house, replaced the pipes under the house, fixed the heater, fixed a leak under my shower and many more things :-) its good to know that we will never have to pack up and move again!

We are moving!
Yes again but this time for GOOD! One house for the last time! No more having friends with expiration dates. We close on Feb 27th.
Mardi Gras! 2013
Last weekend was Mardi Gras so naturally we went to a parade. In fact, we went to 3 parades! This is our last year in LA so we soaked it up!

We lost one of our own
It's been a sad week for my fellow Army wives. One of my friends husband passed away last Friday. He never woke up. We later found out he had a brain tumor and never knew it. Lisa has 2 small boys. Going to a military memorial service was very hard. Lisa and her family are in our thoughts.

Merry (early) Christmas
This was taken at Ladson's Christmas party. It sums up the night. Anna Grace refuses to look at Santa. If I haven't already done Christmas cards this year....

Movie night
I decided to host a movie night at my house last night. 7 kids all under the age of 5! They were told to bring their pj's and sleeping bags. They watched the movie and was happily sent home.

Kelly's Kids sale
Yes this Momma woke up at 4 am and drove 3 hours to go to a sale. I went with 2 other ladies (so I wasn't they only crazy one). It's hard to pass up $5.99 children's clothes! Yes, everything was $5.99! The picture was what we all bought. I had 2 bags out of that. I shopped for a friend too. It was well worth the trip and I am sad I won't make it next year.

Please remember...
It's Veterans Day and this is my Veteran holding Mary Reilly (she was 2 weeks old here) on deployment day 2008. He was on his way to the big sand box (Iraq) for the second time.
Please remember to thank a Veteran today.

We are finally coming home...for good!
Ladson and I have decided to turn over his active duty commission and move back to South Carolina. He will still be in the Reserves so he can still have his Army "fix."
We have been looking at homes. We both have decided that since Summerville has a good elementary school system we would live there. Now the time is to find a home. Summerville has had a boom in the real estate market. Homes are being swooped up very fast. Since we aren't there it's very hard to make an offer on a house when you can't see it. Luckily my Mom has been touring homes for us. This home got swooped up. We hope the contract falls through! Ladson wants this house. (I think the Brady bunch wants their house back!) So hopefully we come to an agreement :-)

Baby Cole
This is my friends baby Cole. He was 9 1/2 weeks early and weighed 3 pounds at birth. He is doing amazing! So glad I can hold him and get my baby fix!
MR's first ever field trip
I (& ag) went along on Mary Reilly's first field trip today. They went to a farm/corn maze. It was very cute and hot! Yes, it's still in the low 90's here!

Just living in the lower LA!
Sorry if (Polk people) you know this baby or family. Saw this on FB Ft. Polk site :)
Living in Louisiana, you see a lot of things that make you wonder what were they thinking? Yes we have here a baby's bedding and a prom dress. Mossy Oak makes both of them. Whatever you can make in camouflage they make including women's underwear!

Rodeo parade came to town.
Since the rodeo came to town, the kids had the day off from school. Yep, they get a whole day off! The parade consisted of local businesses and a whole lot of pageant queens. Did I mention we live on Louisiana? They are really a big deal here. At the end of the parade everyone who owns a horse can ride them down Main Street. It was great until one horse got mad and almost took off.
Cowboys, cowgirls, beauty queens and more!
The rodeo came to town so of course we had to go! We went with our neighbors since ladson isn't here.
Yes, since we live in the Deep South, we have rodeo queens! ( sorry I didn't get a picture if that).
