Baby pool aka our basement

These pictures were taken earlier in the night. I was too mad to take them when it really started filling up.
First of all let me just say we don't have a garage. Everything we can't find a place for goes in the basement.
I heard running water down in the basement around 5:15 on Monday afternoon. I thought to myself I didn't have the washing machine on so I then noticed the baby pool in the basement. Ladson brought up everything he could but since we still haven't unpacked some boxes we had no idea what was in them.
The workers couldn't find the main water line to our house. They finally looked at an old blueprint of our house and discovered it was buried 6 inches in our front yard. They finally shut off the water at 2:15 am. If they couldn't find the line to our house they were going to shut off 1/2 of post! We lost our washer and dryer, surround sound, 2 tv's, and so much more! There was 2 feet of water constantly flowing in for 8 hours.

We have to move and the hot topic in our house is where. We are waiting on housing to tell us by the end of today ( I don't see that happening)

Anna Grace 12 month check up

I took Anna Grace to her 12 month check up. She is in the 80% in her height and weight and 44% in her head. She has hit all of her milestones and the doctor is pleased with her.

We are happy to report Ladson and I watched her stand up by herself tonight. She did it with no help holding on to something. She stood up and looked around like "what do I do now?" I hope the next time I write she will be walking :)

Anna Grace first birthday party

Mom gave me the good stuff!

All the kids from the street came to celebrate Anna Grace's birthday. I had a cake made and I made homemade ice cream (first time ever). Ladson may tell you he made the ice cream (because he watched it turn and put it in the freezer) but I did in fact make the ice cream. Thanks to my friend Amanda who gave me the recipe.
Anna Grace still only has 4 teeth. We have been waiting and waiting for more to poke out but they just wont come. She took 2 steps the other night (7/8) and hasn't walked since. She does in fact walk holding your hand. There really isn't anything she wont eat and still is such a sweet joy to have. She smiles when she wakes up and smiles when she goes to bed.
She has discovered sitting in chairs(kid chairs).

4th of July

Happy 4th of July to all of you! We went to Ft. Meade to our friends house. They have fireworks on their post. Our friends had a cookout with homemade ice cream! It was all yummy.

Riverbanks Zoo

My mom took us to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC. I do have to say it was so much better than the National Zoo in DC. Mary Reilly and Anna Grace really enjoyed seeing all the animals.
