Big Dallas Weekend!!

Oh Friday night Alex had his birthday. Happy 6th birthday Alex.

On Saturday My neighbor Paige took her daughter (Jadyen) to Dallas to eat at the American Girl Bistro. It was in the Galleria Mall. Mary Reilly and I came along. I was so amazed how this doll company got so big. I collected the first four dolls when I was little and now look at this company! You can even get the dolls hair done!!! My mom never let me play with mine. Yes, Mary Reilly even got a doll. Mary Reilly thanks her daddy! She is getting this doll for Christmas but doesn't know :-) heehee Now they make a "doll of the year" so I bought her that doll. Her name is Mia. I figured she can have the doll of the year for the year she was born. I think Mia is pretty. She has reddish blond hair with green eyes. We ate at the bistro which had really good food. The little blond girl in the cherry dress is Julia. She was also with us celebrating her birthday. I took a picture of the cake the two girls got. It was so cute.

Thank you Paige for taking us. We had such a good time!!

I think I bought this about 2 months ago. Mary Reilly didn't like it then so I thought that I would bring it out now. She really likes it.

Mary Reilly slept for 3 hours today! She usually only sleeps 2 hours. I was playing with Cooper. Here is the video.

Rubber Duckie

Mary Reilly is at a good age where she likes bath time. This rubber duckie is one of her favorite toys. It quacks and lights up. I have had to save this duck from mean bird dogs several times! We are still in an infant tub because I am afraid she will slip and fall in the tub. She doesn't mind it so we will use it for a little while longer.

6 months old!

Happy 6 months old! We usually go to the doctors for her check up but I changed her doctor. Her 6 month check up is on September 5.

Mary Reilly doesn't like her meat baby food. She makes a face (and spits it out) every time I try to give it to her. I have to mix it with another flavor just to get her to eat it. I finally started her on beef (it smells like can cat food nasty) and I had the pleasure of recording her.

I had to post this. In the past two days I have had three salesman come to my door. Most of the time Mary Reilly is sleeping. I might have been too bold with the gun but I was really mad when I made this sign. I did pretty it up with cute font. My neighbor Paige her website is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5046304 made this sign for me months ago and it hasn't helped. I don't like to answer my door to strangers. I hope people get the point!

New dress

This dress I bought in Charleston the last time I was there. It didn't fit her then because of the length but it does now. I love that blue on her. She likes new clothes already(sorry Ladson).

Daddy, I just wanted to tell you good morning and I am waiting for you to come home. I am so happy that I can see you again. It's been so long since I have seen you. I was only 2 weeks old when you left. I know you are doing an important job for your country. Hurry home daddy!

And she stands!! Ok, not on her own. I did have to put her up but she did hold on for a long time by herself.

I got a suprise!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Amelia!! For the people that don't know her. She is my 2nd cousin. Her mommy is Melissa my 1st cousin. Your present is on the way.

I mentioned this to my husband a couple of weeks back. I wanted one but I never knew he would buy one. It's a self run vacuum called an IRobot Roomba. You can set it to vacuum when you leave for the day and by the time you get back your house is all clean! I was kinda worried since I have fringe on my rugs but it's ok. It goes over my rugs and doesn't get caught. It also works well on going from carpet to tile. I had to watch this last night after it charged and it goes under you couch. Who knows what's under there! I am so old that I get excited about cleaning. What's up with that!!

The Kite Runner

10 Minutes into the movie I turned it off. I am sorry I am not going to read the whole movie. I think this movie takes place in Afghanistan. I thought it was going to be different. I heard many people say the book was so good so I had to try this movie. (I don't have time to read with Mary Reilly)

I am sure this was a great movie. When I want to watch a movie that's it I want to watch it not have to read it!

Wordless Wednesday

Flat Tire

Why is it when the husband isn't here I always have car trouble? I was going to the new target (it's really awesome and it has a Starbucks in it) and I noticed his car was tilted. Yep, a big screw was in the tire. If you don't own a big truck or SUV these tires are expensive! I am so glad that Ford trucks have a full spare under the bed. So, Mary Reilly and I made a trip yesterday to Temple to buy a new tire.. 2 1/2 hours later it was fixed. Can you believe the dealer ship was the cheapest and Discount Tire was the most!!

A visitor on my couch/sit up/new chair

I couldn't sleep one night this past week. I came to the kitchen to get a drink when I noticed a visitor on my couch. Millie made herself at home. I took these while she was still sleeping. What a good watch dog! By the way, Millie isn't allowed on the couch. Doesn't she look comfortable?

Mary Reilly is growing too fast! She is now sitting on her own. She still can't get up my herself but once I sit her up she stays. Sometimes she gets unfocused and starts to giggle then she falls.

New highchair!!! I really wanted to get a wood highchair but I couldn't find one that I liked. Sorry mom. Had to go plastic. I did see the Eddie Bauer but every review said don't buy. She loved her sitting up high. I was feeding her in her bouncy chair but it was a struggle because she wanted to sit up. I really loved this one because it comes with two seat covers and the most important thing..it came already put together! I HATE putting stuff together and when Ladson isn't here I have to do it.
